School Bond Referendum
This is our opportunity to come together in support of improved learning environments in Orange County Schools. The $300 million school infrastructure bond will allow the two school districts in our county, Orange County Schools and Chapel Hill/Carrboro City Schools, to tackle long-overdue repairs and build new facilities. Improving infrastructure in OCS is a key CSOCS priority because our students, teachers, and everyone who works in our schools deserve safe, well-maintained facilities.
The cost of the bond is projected to cost a property taxpayer $34.10 for every $100,000 of assessed value of property. When we invest in education, we make our whole community stronger.
